Versa-Chassis is the new pinnacle in chassis versatility and application. Versa-Chassis allows for a standard equipped 40’, 45’ or 40’-45’ extendable marine chassis to be easily and quickly converted to a 53’ domestic chassis allowing for increased versatility, increased utilization and reduced operating cost.
When Versa-Chassis has finished supporting your domestic customer’s needs, just as effortlessly the sturdy lightweight Versa-Chassis attachment is easily removed, and is conveniently storable and ready when needed again and again.
Versa-Chassis is built using the latest advancements in chassis manufacturing. Each is professionally crafted by chassis assembly specialists using niobium alloy. Niobium is heat and corrosion resistant, and capable of outperforming all other metals in extreme conditions making it ideal for the diverse and often harsh environments of the intermodal system throughout the United States and all over the world. Lightweight and Strong, niobium allows for maximum payloads confidently and safely, and helps improve fuel efficiency and reduces carbon emissions.

Versa-Flat allows a 20’ flush or goose, a 20’/40’ combo, a 40’/45’ slider and a domestic 53’ chassis to be easily and cost effectively converted to a 28’, 48’ or 53’ flatbed
Versa-Flat is also equipped with several self-contained fitments that further reduce operating costs and improve efficiency, including:
A retractable Versa-Bar for ICC compliance and easy storage, stacking and transporting

Versa-Lift to allow for the flat beds to be mounted and dismounted anywhere without additional equipment such as a forklift
Versa-Load, a self-contained loading ramp, in many instances allows for easy loading and unloading without the need for a cross-dock facility
All Versa-Flat features could be adapted to operate manually, or with enhanced power assisted options utilizing electrical, hydraulic and solar components as a power source.
This optional customization allows for Versa-Flat to be more widely accessible at many accommodating price points.
Versa-Twist is an improvement upon the standard twist-lock, which allows for Versa-Flat to be arched like a traditional flat bed and allows it to carry similar cargo weights while maintaining a lower tare-weight.
A host of other proprietary build out options to fashion Versa-Flat into any number of domestic configurations, are made available utilizing the proprietary “Versa-Key”.
With Versa-Key many accessory Items can be utilized to further customize Versa-Flat cost effectively while mitigating theft. These accessorial attachments include bulkheads, siderails, tailgates, tarp enclosures and Integrated tiedowns, dunnage…etc.

Our History
VersaModal is the exclusive creation of its independent founder, who possesses applied real-world operational and commercial knowledge and capability in nearly every aspect of the international and domestic supply chain and logistics sector. Having held positions starting at entry-level and rising all the way up to c-suite executive management over the span of their 35 years of involvement in the dynamic and exciting shipping industry, Versa-Modal’s designer is uniquely qualified to have identified, contemplated and resolved this longstanding interoperability quagmire.
From procurement factory to the consumer’s door, several challenging and costly aspects of the entire transportation network including driver shortages, equipment displacement, environmental sustainability, infrastructure deterioration, roadway congestion and safety, procurement, storage and maintenance costs, and a host more were carefully considered and the VersaModel product was created to help mitigate these significant challenges.
